Andy Locsin

Andres "Andy" Locsin, also known as Leandro Yulo Locsin Jr., is a principal at Leandro V. Locsin Partners (LVLP), the Makati-based practice that traces its roots to a firm founded in 1955 by his father, National Artist for Architecture Leandro V. Locsin. He studied architecture and Eastern art history at Wesleyan University and earned a Master of Architecture from the Harvard University Graduate School of Design, joining the family firm in 1990.

Under his stewardship, LVLP carries forward a modern Filipino idiom at civic scale. Locsin conceptualized the current Ayala Museum in Makati, dedicated in 2004, a six-storey building of granite, glass, and steel that replaced an earlier structure on the same site.

The firm's later work ranges from the community learning center Streetlight Tagpuro in Tacloban, a collaboration that won the World Architecture Festival's Small Project of the Year, to large mixed-use developments such as Park Central Towers in Makati. Within LVLP, Locsin has long served as an internal critic and presenter on the practice's most complex and defining commissions.
