T. Jordan Ong

T. Jordan Ong is a Filipino architect and the founder of TJSO Architects, a Manila-based studio he started in the summer of 2007 after graduating in B.S. Architecture from the University of Santo Tomas College of Architecture and Fine Arts and working in several established firms. His practice pairs a modern minimalist language with a clear response to the tropical climate.

Among the studio's best-known works is Yu House in Quezon City, a three-story residence with a basement featured on Architizer. The design treats passive cooling as its first priority, using recessed windows, wooden slats, balconies, and end-to-end openings so air moves freely through open-plan interiors while deep shading tempers direct sun and rain.

The firm also mines Filipino building traditions, as in its Modern Tropical House in Pinamalayan, Oriental Mindoro, which fuses contemporary forms with the Bahay na Bato and adds typhoon-conscious details like reinforced vertical slats and extended eaves. Other works, including the Scrap House and a mix of high-rise, hospitality, and commercial projects, extend the studio across residential and building-scale design.
